Omar Flores Pop Up At Urbano Cafe Sept 25th

Missing Omar Flores at Casa Rubia in Trinity Groves? He is frying chicken and rolling biscuits at his restaurant Whistlebritches, soon to open a second version of this southern-style restaurant. But you may try some of his headier cuisine, the stuff James Beard has shown him love once again for, at an upcoming dinner in the old digs commonly referred to as Tom Spicer’s Garden behind Urbano Cafe.

Your big chance is Monday, September 25th from 7 to 10pm where the chef will amazing your taste buds and impress your date.

1st course: Summer bean salad, sweet corn pudding, pickled chiles, sorghum, 1015 onion, buttermilk, Baby lettuces

2nd course: Assorted melons, bigeye tuna, palm sugar vinaigrette, avocado, lime, crispy shallots

3rd course: Sonoma valley duck leg, fish sauce caramel,Crunchy garlic, crushed peanuts, Thai herbs,Aromatic Carolina gold rice

4th course: Kaffir lime panna cotta, matcha, stone fruit consommé
