Making a great taco has not escaped the hands of chef Mo Assi who was formerly executive chef at Perry’s Steakhouse, Dallas Chop House, Lawry’s and Capital Grille for a dozen years. The man definitely knows meat and he is also familiar with what the people in North Texas want to eat. Assi opened Crush Taco a little over a year ago and has been crushing the taco scene since.
Located in Frisco, Texas, Crush Taco features a variety of gourmet tacos, house frozen margaritas, local beers, and specialty sodas. The menu is inspired by contemporary cuisine with a touch of chef Assi’s favorites in a fast-casual and fun atmosphere.
Look for some delicious tacos such as the Crush Fried Chicken served “Elotes Style” that is made with buttermilk fried chicken, fresh corn, crema, cilantro, cotija cheese on a fresh tortilla. Or go for the vegan caramelized cauliflower taco with spicy pepitas, yogurt, charred lemon and grilled onions.
You will also enjoy the cornflake crusted shrimp taco and one made with BBQ braised pork. Oh, the choices.
brisket and eggs for breakfast
This Friday, November 24th, Black Friday as it is, chef Assi will be waking early to prepare breakfast (it is served daily) and plans to give away free breakfast tacos. For early risers stop in between 5am and 9am and receive one free breakfast taco per person with no purchase necessary. He is not allowing any coupons in addition to this offer.
Choose between tacos made with roasted potatoes and eggs, beef chorizo, pork sausage, brisket and smoked bacon, all served on warm and supple tortillas. We suggest one of each, but of course only one is free.
