The restaurant known as Fat Rabbit with its upstairs sister bar called Masque close this weekend, January 21, 2018. The space will be renovated PL8 Bistro and Gallery which will take approximately five weeks for construction.
The owners of Fat Rabbit tells us that the new space “will be more restaurant forward concept focused on enticing menu offerings, excellent friendly service, as well as, highlighting works of art for sale by artist from all over the states”.
The cuisine will be cheffed by Alfio Longo who was born in Bielefeld, Germany. Chef Alfio was raised in the small town of Pistoia near Florence and spent his childhood summers in Southern Italy. He drew inspiration for gastronomy at a very young age while traveling extensively throughout Europe with his family, experiencing different flavors and culinary styles.
Also look for a collection of wines and service of craft cocktails. The property will no longer have the upstairs nightclub Masque. Instead, it will have an extension to the restaurant that will be great for events and private dining.
A farewell party for Fat Rabbit will be January 21st while a last call party for Masque will be hosted Saturday, January 20th 11pm-2am.
