Where To Celebrate Super Bowl LII In Dallas

sb liiby Steven Doyle

Most of the free world is looking forward to the latest edition of the Super Bowl, a rematch of 2004’s Super Bowl XXXIX, which was won by New England 24–21, Super Bowl LII is the first Super Bowl appearance for the Eagles since that game. The Patriots became the first team since the Seattle Seahawks (who made Super Bowls XLVIII and XLIX) to appear in two consecutive Super Bowls, having won Super Bowl LI in the previous season, and are also seeking to become the first team to repeat as Super Bowl victors since the Patriots themselves won Super Bowls XXXVIII and XXXIX. Philadelphia is making its third appearance in the Super Bowl, having lost Super Bowls XV and XXXIX.

What we really most concerned about is where to enjoy the game in the Dallas area. We looked for great booze prizes, food deals and free entry. Check out our short list of a few of our big choices.

The Ivy Tavern: Look for a perky new menu at the Ivy that features pizzas and is clearly one of our favorite bars in Dallas which has a killer patio and an interesting mix of people to commiserate with. The party starts at 1pm and will feature a pig roast, $3 Sangrias and some cool beer and shot deals.

Frankie’s Sports Bar: Look for free admission, an all day happy hour and fun swag raffles. Get there early for prime real estate. 30 screens to enjoy the game.Doors open at 11am.

Peasant Pizzeria: Make your reservations today to join the fun which starts at 4pm. For a mere $30 guests will enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat Italian Feast and chili tastings from the staff who will be making no less than five varieties to enjoy.  Reservations are very limited and required.

Granada Theater: The annual bash is free and there will be a cash bar along with a giant screen to catch all the play-by-play action.

Lee Harvey’s: Free admission to this fun venue that is dog friendly on Sunday’s (must be neutered or spayed) which will feature $2.50 wells and domestics from 3 p.m. until 2 a.m. The kitchen is open from 3 to 10 p.m. Great burger!

Greenville Avenue Pizza Company: Feed your friends (and yourself) during the big game on February 4 with two large one-topping pizzas and two orders of wings for $52. And, this part’s important—if you choose pepperoni as your topping, those mouthwatering meat circles will spell out LII. So it will taste good and look great on your Instagram feed. It’s a real win-win, no matter how the game goes.

Plano Kitchen and Bar: has a $10 AYCE buffet which includes your first round and a Nacho/Taco Bar, Wings and Miniature Meatballs.
