Rusty Taco, known for its authentic street tacos made with fresh and simple ingredients, is celebrating its roots with a return to its original name and a party on the patio Saturday, Sept. 8, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at its founding location at 4802 Greenville Avenue. All proceeds from the event will benefit North Texas Food Bank.
The celebration will include $2 tacos and other celebratory pricing, live music from Jayson Bales – who performed at the first grand opening in 2010 – and giveaways, including limited-edition t-shirts designed by nationally acclaimed artist Sean Starr. Rusty Taco opened in 2010 by founder Rusty Fenton, whose passion for food and travels throughout the U.S. and Mexico inspired him to create an authentic neighborhood street taco stand with affordable food and drinks. Today, Rusty Taco has grown to 27 restaurants in six states and is part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants, one of the largest restaurant companies in the U.S.

The return to the restaurant’s original name reflects the brand’s dedication to Rusty Taco’s genuine family heritage and Fenton’s vision of a community-driven gathering place with a kicked-back, blue jeans-vibe. Rusty Taco has partnered with North Texas Food Bank in honor of Fenton, who loved giving back to the community and feeding people.
