Chef Patrick Stark Unveils New Concept

Sgt Spuds is chef Patrick Stark’s new venture where he has created a potato “hand grenade” that is hollowed and stuffed with a variety of BBQ meats and a host of sauces. Currently the Spuds will be available at events throughout Dallas and Fort Worth with a concentration on breweries as both a catered meal or as part of a beer pairing.

Sgt Spuds benefits Patrick Stark’s 501(c)3 Charity Mohawk Militia which has been instrumental in assisting veterans with food and other necessities, and soon will donate 2,000 men’s suits by distributing them to local charitable organizations that would fit the clothing to those in need.

Events on the near horizon include the following:

Nov 10 Suit Up DFW located at Will Call 2800 Main Street Dallas. This is a private event for organizations seeking to receive suits to benefit the homeless and veterans in the DFW area. We will also be premiering Sgt Spud with bites and drinks. The event is free but you must be a non-profit and register via Eventbrite.

Nov 11 (Veteran’s Day) Reno’s Chop Shop will host Sgt Spud with a major blow out from 2-8pm that includes the Spuds and is sponsored by PBR and TX Whiskey with all day drink specials including these cool “MRE Packages”:

“The SNIPER” – 1 shot of TX Bourbon, PBR, & a SGT Spud $20
“The SGT Major” – 1 PBR & a SGT Spud $15
“The SGT” – Just our SGT Spud $12

Reno’s will have live music all day as well as a raffle with gifts from Guitar Sanctuary, TX Whiskey and more.

Nov 15 Tupp’s Brewery in McKinney at 6pm until sold out of Spuds and will be “deploying” the “General” to four locations, which corresponds to a flavor profile. For $20 we will be deploying to:

America,”Texas Style” – Cheese & BBQ Sauce, Onion, Pickle

England – Rstd Garlic & Honey Thyme Gravy, Peas, Carrots

Central America- Loaded Queso, Chili Lime Dusted Lime

Japan – Teriyaki w/ Yum Yum Sauce Floater, Sesame Seeds, Green Onion
