Aaron Franklin Hosting Uchiba Uncommon Ramen April 29

The April installment of Uchibā’s Uncommon Ramen, the monthly series featuring innovative collaborations with Uchibā’s Chef de Cuisine Alex Astranti and renowned chefs from around the country. Since launching in 2017, the Uncommon Ramen series has featured such celebrated chefs as Tommy Lee, Chris Shepherd, Tyson Cole, among others.

The special dinner will be April 29th with very limited reservations from 5-10pm.

The famed  Austin, Texas-based barbecue cook, grilling guy, restaurant owner, educator and writer, Aaron Franklin is a self-taught BBQ expert, who has quickly risen to be one of the most well-known pit bosses in the barbecue world. He never cuts corners on choosing quality meats and spending the quality time to make the best BBQ in the country. In 2015, Aaron was presented the coveted James Beard award for Best Chef Southwest. Aaron’s second book, Franklin Steak, showcases his deep love for steak by exploring dry aging, reverse searing, and other cooking methods.

The 2019 Uncommon Ramen Series line-up includes James Beard Award winners:

  • Monday, June 24 – Chef Alex Seidel of Mercantile Dining & Provision in Denver, Colorado
  • Monday, July 29 – Chef BJ Smith of Smokehouse Tavern and Kim Jong Smokehouse in Portland, Oregon, and Smokehouse Provisions in Vancouver, Washington
  • Monday, September 30 – Scott Tacinelli and Angie Rito of New York’s Don Angie
  • Monday, October 28 – Chef Justin Carlisle of Ardent on Milwaukee’s East Side
