Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated all weekend in North Texas and you won’t be able to toss a peso without hitting on some celebration in DFW. We put together a few ideas for you and your running buddies to enjoy, but feel free to add more in comments. Be sure to use one of the ride share options in town for optimum and safe fun.

 In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Mi Dia From Scratch will be offering discounted margaritas for those wanting to celebrate the Mexican holiday. On Sunday, May 5, 2019, drink specials will include a $5 Mi Dia Frozen Over, the house frozen margarita featuring Sauza Blue Silver, Triple Sec, lemon juice and agave nectar, a $5 Mi Dia Rita Rocks, the house rocks margarita, and $5 Short Jalisco Twisters, a margarita meltdown with a house-made sangria, all day long. For those wanting a bite, Mi Dia From Scratch will also be serving $10 Flautitas.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar will be offering a margarita special at all locations this Friday, May 3, through Sunday, May 5. All margaritas will be half off all day long! From the Classic Frozen to The Skinny Dip, featuring a 7oz Coronita dunked into a frozen margarita with a Black Lava Salt Rim, Hopdoddy has a delicious offering of margaritas perfect for celebrating.

Vidorra has partnered with Patron and Cazadores Tequila bringing a two-day celebration for Cinco de Mayo. On Saturday, May 4th, brunch and dinner will be served as normal, plus a DJ from 10pm to 2am. On Sunday, May 5th, food specials include $2 Street Tacos and $5 Margaritas. There will also be a DJ on deck from 3pm to 7pm, a Mariachi Band performing from 6pm to 9pm, and they will also have a ‘Donkey’ on site from 2pm – 6pm, serving shots and for photo opps!

Legacy Hall will serve  margaritas, too much tequila and a hot music line up.
Music includes Mariachi bands, Tex-Mex country, high-energy Latin music, and more.
Beer buckets will also be available and a live Kentucky Derby broadcast on the 24-foot screen in the Box Garden on May 4.

Mexican Sugar will serve $8 margaritas – classic, frozen, mango, strawberry
$4 can beers – Corona Premier, Modelo, Pacifico, Corona Extra
Family friendly activities – face painter, palm reader, balloon animals with live ive music – 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and a DJ – 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

El Corazon run by the Cuellar Family, today announced that it will celebrate Cinco de Mayo, along with its one-year anniversary in McKinney, with a four-day fiesta.
Running through Sunday, May 5, 2019, El Corazon will celebrate Cinco de Mayo by offering 16-ounce house margaritas for $4, Mexican draft and bottled beers for $4 and a Tejas White Wings appetizer for cinco (5) dollars. The El Corazon White Wings are made with fresh chicken breasts stuffed with jalapenos and jack cheese, wrapped in bacon, fried, tossed with chipotle BBQ sauce and served with a ranch dressing dipping sauce.
Additional festivities during the weekend will include a live mariachi band on Friday night and an entrée special on Saturday: El Corazon’s famous parrillas (fajitas) for 2 for $20.

At The Rustic in Dallas, the party starts early on May 5, at 10 a.m. for brunch and live music. It continues until midnight, with a photo booth, taco and tequila flights and even a visit from Poncho the miniature donkey.

Mattito’s hosts one of the biggest Cinco de Mayo parties in the region. While they’ll be celebrating at Mattito’s in Las Colinas and North Dallas, the main event is at the Oak Lawn Avenue restaurant in Dallas.

Chuy’s offers up three days of drink specials, from May 3 through 5. Customers will find $1 floaters all three days, $1 off certain margaritas on May 4 and 5, and even more drink specials on Cinco de Mayo specifically, including $5 queso or guacamole. Chuy’s has more than 100 restaurants nationwide, with more than a half-dozen across North Texas.

Yard House in Addison and Las Colinas, margaritas cost $5 on May 5. (Regular price is $10.50) The deal includes the house, salted watermelon and pomegranate.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in Plano is pouring a $100 margarita made with Tequila Ocho and served in a Baccarat tumbler. It’s available May 1 through 31, and anyone who buys it gets to take home the crystal glass, valued at $150.

Cinco-de-Mayo

Oak Cliff Coalition for the Arts at the 2019 Dallas Cinco de Mayo Parade on Sunday, May 5, at 1:00 p.m. along historic Jefferson Blvd. in Oak Cliff. This year’s theme is “Nuestro Orgullo/Our Pride.” Today, the Dallas Cinco de Mayo is the biggest and longest running celebration (32 years) with a parade and fiesta. It is held along the historic Jefferson Blvd., which is considered the epicenter of one of the most important commercial and cultural zones of the Mexican American community.

Check out the 1st Annual Downtown Fort Worth Cinco De Mayo Fiesta. It’s a one day event, and a free multicultural family festival and concert. This outdoor event is held in beautiful Downtown Fort Worth, TX on Main Street at 9th Street, “Calle Nueve,” in front of the north entrance of Fort Worth Convention Center. Event hours are Noon until 10:00 pm. The Main Stage will feature local and statewide musical talent with bands at all levels of their careers. This event will be filled with interactive booths, games, prizes, a kids’ zone, and food unique to the culture. These events are not exclusive to the Latin American community and all of the public is encouraged to attend.

Irving’s newest hotspot the Big Beat is hosting their very first Cinco de Mayo bash. Enjoy free concerts on the Texas Lottery Plaza throughout the weekend, and on May 5, you can dance to The Tejas Brothers while enjoying $5 all-day specials on frozen margaritas, Mexican beer, tamales, tacos and more! After the party ends, head next door to Martini Ranch for more drink specials and a “Singles de Mayo” party from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. NOTE: Big Beat Dallas is a 21+ venue after 8:30 p.m.
