Eat Me: Short Rib Benedict At Little Red Wasp

Short Rib Benedictby Steven Doyle

The brunch menu as the Little Red Wasp in Fort Worth is pretty crave worthy. The cheddar chicken biscuit is tops in its game with a huge plateful sized slab of chicken sandwiched between that ethereal biscuit that is near lighter than air. It gives us all reason to make the drive to the downtown Fort Worth restaurant. The chilaquiles are also tops in their game. But what makes us truly lose control is the Benedict.

There are plenty of examples of an eggs Benedict in DFW, but the Little Red Wasp steps just beyond where mere mortals play. Imagine this: those same beautiful Tillamook cheddar cheese biscuits are laid onto the plate and topped with silky short ribs, perfectly poached eggs, spinach, and drizzled with a super creamy Hollandaise sauce.  Add a side of a perfect Michelada made with Modelo Especial, Clamato Juice, lime juice, Crystal’s Hot Sauce, and Worcestershire. Now you are set for the perfect Sunday Funday.

Enjoy.
