Cannon’s Corner Irish Publocated at 1314 W. Davis Street, promises to offer a neighborhood focused traditional Irish pub experience.

Best known for creating true traditional Irish spots Crafty Irishman in Downtown Dallas and recently opened The Playwright in One Arts Plaza, Kearney says, “This part of town [Oak Cliff] reminds me of a Dublin suburb where he opened his first bar in south Dublin. I appreciate the history has been well cared for, which is important to me coming from Ireland; keeping the same culture and tradition of the area.”

Built in 1922 and renovated in 2014, the building is appropriately known as Cannon’s Village after Cannon’s 5-Cent store became the anchor tenant in the 1950’s.

Cannon’s Corner will showcase traditional Irish culture through a thoughtful food and beverage program. Kearney continues, “It’s important to me to serve the community that surrounds us.  Irish pubs are great back drops for all sports, and good conversation. We look forward to serving our new neighbors.”

The new restaurant and bar offers a wide range of menu items from hardy starters such as Irish O’s: crispy beer-battered onion rings, Scotch Eggs and Corned Beef Cabbage and Rolls.

Robust entrées are Murphy’s Shepherd’s Pie: lamb, beef, carrots and mashed potatoes, Howth Beer Battered Fish and Chips; Bangers and MashTraditional Corned BeefPub Curry, a must-try Traditional Irish Stew and more.

All-day breakfast items comprise of Traditional Irish Breakfast – two eggs any style, Irish bacon, sausage, black and white pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, hash and brown bread, gluten free avocado toast, a coffee program served all day.

The largest selection of Irish beers with more than 25 on tap, 200 Irish whiskey and scotches and Happy Hour Monday- Friday 4-7pm round out the substantial menu.
