Now in its eighth year, the Ultimate Cocktail Experience is more than just cocktails and fun—although there’s plenty of both. Most importantly is the event’s mission to raise money for Trigger’s Toys, a non-profit organization that provides aid to hospitalized children and their families. Through UCE, the organization is able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars per year, all earmarked to assist those in need.
After prior year events at Klyde Warren Park and the Bomb Factory, this year’s UCE is going back to its roots with a focus on the hospitality industry. The smaller, more contained affair will recapture what UCE does best—engage with the bar and restaurant community while maximizing the amount of money it raises. The event is Sunday evening at Harlowe in Deep Ellum October 13. Harlowe is located at 2823 Main St in Deep Ellum. Buy tickets here —> Ultimate Cocktail Experience.
Bonnie Wilson, who spent years as a bartender and bar manager, and now is the Spirit Portfolio Director with Don Sebastiani & Sons, will be spearheading the event with some of your favorite bartenders in the DFW area (with some visiting the massive event from across the country) to raise funds, awareness and generally throw one seriously amazing party.
“It will be a tremendous event this year, with an opening cocktail by Beam Brands, and spill out into the event featuring 45 cocktails, all included with the price of admission. Guests will also enjoy swag at the marketplace, mustache rides with the giant Tito’s mustache seesaw, dancers, food including a french fry bar, Deep Eddy ice cream and a hummus bar,” Wilson tells us.
Wilson also told CraveDFW that Trigger’s Toys just received $500,000 grant for a therapy program.
This year includes a special thanks and award to Shag Carpet Props Rental which has been vital in preparing the event for years.
Also look for a judging panel to include Michael Martensen, along with voting for your favorite cocktail by guests.
