Mercat Set to Re-Open

Plenty of restaurants are remainig closed, or take-out only at this time. Sadly, some are shuttered for good. We won’t be reporting on all the openings, but want to point out a few beloved ones as they open.

Harwood District is set to begin phase two of their Return to Safely Serve plan with the opening of Mercat Bistro and Magnolias: Sous Le Pont, on Monday, May 18, 2020. This follows their initial phase of successfully hosting a sold-out pop-up Mother’s Day weekend brunch event at  Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens.

Mercat, the District’s charming Parisian-inspired bistro, will begin service Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. serving its fresh buttery croissants, breakfast options, crisp salads, sandwiches and more. Magnolias: Sous Le Pont will return with Dallas’ favorite artisanal coffees — from Lavender Love Lattes to Flat Whites, Cortados and more — opening from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Both restaurants will have rotating menus including ready-made breakfast, lunch and options for an afternoon snack. To see the full menu, visit mercatbistro.com and magnoliasdallas.com.

Appropriately spaced, limited seating will be available at both operating locations. The current safety measures in place as laid out in the District’s Harwood Cares plan include online access to menus, easily accessible hand sanitizing stations, markers to practice social distancing, protective face coverings worn by all employees, and more to ensure cleanliness throughout the District.

Harwood looks forward to expanding its menu offerings across all concepts in future phases of Returning to Safely Serve. The District’s additional restaurants and The Samurai Collection remain temporarily closed until further notice. To best protect their staff and guests, Harwood strongly encourages everyone to wear protective face coverings when exploring the District. Visit harwooddistrict.com/return for more on the Harwood Cares safety measures to Return to Safely Serve.
