Postino WineCafe Coming to Dallas in Early 2021

Upward Projects – the restaurant group known for its cult-like following and artful restoration of historically relevant buildings in fun, funky neighborhoods – is bringing its popular Postino WineCafé to Dallas for the first time. Scheduled to open in Spring of 2021 inside a revitalized 3,500 square foot space at 2647 Main Street in the heart of Deep Ellum, this 110-seat restaurant, including a spacious 50-seat outdoor patio, welcomes guests with Postino’s warm, come-as-you-are culture and eclectic design.

Sharing a standalone building with Merit Coffee, Postino collaborated with progressive developers, Asana Partners, and designers XAN Creative to handcraft this new neighborhood hangout where ‘Drinking Wine At Lunch Is Not a Crime’.

Offering an ever-changing selection of delicious wines and craft brews paired with a decked-out menu of bruschetta’s, and crave-worthy shareables that’ll instigate last-bite fights, Postino will seamlessly blend into this music-centric neighborhood given its quirky aesthetic served up with a sophisticated twist. Postino WineCafé draws its name from the Italian word for postman – an homage to the former 1940’s post office in Phoenix where the first Postino was born 19 years ago – but each location is unique to the neighborhood and community in which it lives. Accordingly, the move to Dallas started with discovering the perfect destination here in this famously vibrant neighborhood.

“Feeling a connection and alignment with a neighborhood and its community is what drives us to open our doors and a new location,” said Postino Co-Founder and CEO Lauren Bailey. “It might sound a little woo woo, but I wait for goosebumps and that feeling in my gut that this is our next home. There is so much to love about the City of Dallas – and Deep Ellum in particular – with its multi-decade patina of creativity and culture.”

Postino hallmarks include sophisticated mid-century modern furniture sourced from local vintage shops, quirky found objects and showstopping art installations, rollup garage doors, custom walnut wine walls, and get-your-shazam-ready playlists that keep the good times rolling. Plus all the magic that makes Postino special, starting with the simple yet powerful mission to “Make People Feel Good.”

Open daily for lunch and dinner with a scrumptious brunch every weekend, Postino Deep Ellum will also proudly pour a wide variety of Texas craft brews, including the neighboring BrainDead Brewing, alongside more than 30 wines by the glass. Every Saturday and Sunday (9 am – 1 pm) Postino rocks a bumpin’ brunch with $5 mimosas, plus happy hour specials, including the daily staple $5 ‘til 5pm (all wines by the glass and pitchers of beer for $5 from open – 5pm) and $25 Bottle & Board on Monday & Tuesday evenings (a bottle of wine and a board of bruschetta for $25).

“Postino will always be focused on serving our surrounding community and really becoming a part of the fabric of a neighborhood,” Bailey says. “We can’t wait to welcome our new neighbors and friends here in Deep Ellum.”

Postino Deep Ellum is located at 2647 Main Street, Dallas, TX 75226. For more information visit http://www.postinowinecafe.com.
