Waterproof, the rooftop lounge at the iconic Statler, offers expansive, breathtaking views of downtown Dallas. But when the temperatures drop, you just might be able to see that breath. That’s why the lounge is offering a way for you to stay nice and cozy this winter. For the second year in a row, Waterproof is offering life-size Snow Globes for your party of 2 to 8 to bundle in and stay warm – and socially distanced from others.
The Snow Globes – which must be reserved in advance – come in two sizes: One is large enough for a lively party of 8, while three are just right for two to four people to comfortably enjoy an evening. The large Globe requires a food and beverage minimum of $600 for two hours, and the smaller globes have a minimum of $200 for two hours.
The Snow Globes are expected to sell out nightly, but Waterproof is offering more opportunities for private gatherings. The pool cabanas – known as Northern Light Lounges this time of year – are decked out for the holidays and can hold parties of two to four people for $100 per cabana for two-hour reservation.
Both Snow Globes and Northern Lights Lounges must be reserved in advance via Resy.
Waterproof, which offers an extensive food menu from The Statler’s Italian-American restaurant, Sfereco, has created a specialty Winterproof drinks menu that features four cold and two hot cocktails.
Cold offerings:
· Cindy Lou Who (Don Julio Blanco, Aperol, lime and cinnamon apple syrup), $14
· Frozen Hot Chocolate (Belvedere, whipped cream, chocolate shavings), $12/$48
· Uno Frozen Cranberry Margarita (Primo’s Signature Frozen Margarita with cranberry swirl), $10/$40
· Cold Fashioned (Bulleit Bourbon, Peychauds, cinnamon apple syrup), $14.
Hot cocktails:
· Toddy or Nice (Bulleit Bourbon, Grand Marnier, lemon, orange peel and honey), $14
· Snowball (Hennessy VS, Frangelico, coffee and vanilla), $14.
Waterproof is also offering two food and beverage packages: “Clicquot in the Snow” ($195) features one specialty pizza, one appetizer and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Upgrade to a bottle of Belvedere for an additional $150. “Winterproof Wonderland” ($595) features two specialty pizzas, two appetizers, eight Fiji waters, one bottle of Veuve Clicquot and a choice of one bottle of Belvedere, one bottle of Don Julio Blanco or one bottle of Bulleit Bourbon.
