Hotel Crescent Court Welcomes New Culinary Team Member and Announces Chef Promotion  

Hotel Crescent Court – situated in the heart of Dallas’ vibrant Uptown – proudly announces the appointment of Michael Gallagher as Director of Food & Beverage and the promotion of Mike Luong to Executive Chef. The iconic hotel continues to add industry-leading talent with a focus on culinary operations following its multi-million-dollar transformation.

Bringing 25 years of hospitality-specific experience to Hotel Crescent Court, Michael Gallagher previously worked with various hotels and resorts across the country. In his new role, he will oversee all food and beverage operations for the iconic Uptown Dallas hotel, including banquet services and four on-site dining outlets. Most recently, Gallagher served as Food & Beverage Director at the Marriott Renaissance Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth. Prior, he showcased a strong history of operations achievement, perfecting his leadership skills at various hotel brands including Hyatt, Hilton, Omni and more. As a result, he has a wealth of knowledge, commitment and passion to his team and continues to mentor those he works with. 

Newly promoted to Executive Chef, Mike Luong oversees the culinary team for the 226-room iconic Lone Star Landmark and its on-site dining outlets including Beau Nash, The Conservatory, Starbucks at The Crescent and Hotel Crescent Court’s exclusive private dining club, The Crescent Club. Luong takes over the new position after joining Hotel Crescent Court in 2018 as Executive Sous Chef. After attending school at California College of Arts in San Francisco, he began his cooking career at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, where he worked under two-time James Beard Award winner Joyce Goldstein. In his early career, Luong was also personal chef for Hall of fame Joe Montana and his family. The seasoned culinary connoisseur’s expertise also includes positions at several hotels, including the Hilton Anatole, Hilton Hotel Ontario and Hotel Circle in San Diego. Additionally, Luong has opened several restaurants, including Butterfly Restaurant at the Depot in Salt Lake City and its sister restaurants, Butterfly East & West and Dragonfly, as well as The Tribune Tavern in San Francisco.
