Hopdoddy Burger Bar to Open First Plano Location April 15

Hopdoddy Burger Bar, pioneer of the better burger concept, will bring its craft burgers, sharable fries and famous margaritas to Plano on April 15 in its converted Grub Burger location at 8255 Preston Road, Ste. 300.

Grub Burger, which was acquired by Hopdoddy earlier this year, will close after dinner service on Sunday, April 11, to undergo a five-day transformation and reopen as a Hopdoddy in time for happy hour on Friday, April 15.

To celebrate the new location, the first 100 guests will receive a “golden bowl” that can be “refilled” for free when they dine at the Plano Hopdoddy throughout the summer.* All guests can also enjoy Hopdoddy’s Happy Hour $5 schooners of all draft beers, house margaritas and craft cocktails from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“The Plano location is the first restaurant to be converted to a Hopdoddy since we acquired the Grub Burger Bar chain in January,” said Hopdoddy CEO Jeff Chandler. “This is the first step in brand’s exponential growth and we look forward to welcoming our fans in Plano.”

Known for mindfully sourced ingredients, Hopdoddy’s menu includes humanely, sustainably raised Certified Piedmontese Beef, non-GMO Beyond Meat, regeneratively farmed Force of Nature bison, family-farmed Chipperbec potatoes and Red Bird Farms’ cage-free, steroid-free and gluten-free chicken.

The 3,398-square foot restaurant offers seating for 138 guests inside, including an additional 20 seats at the bar and 54 outside under its partially covered, dog-friendly patio. Hours are 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The restaurant is also actively hiring for both front and back of house positions. Those interested in joining the Hopdoddy family can visit www.hopdoddy.com/careers to apply.

The company plans to convert 17 Grub locations this year, bringing Hopdoddy’s total presence to nearly 50 locations in eight states, including its first locations in Louisiana, Georgia and Florida.

*The first 100 guests will receive a QR code redeemable for a free order of shareable fries through the mobile app on the first of each month following the Plano restaurant’s grand opening.
