JAXON Texas Kitchen & Beer Garden Launches New Menu

JAXON Texas Kitchen & Beer Garden, the modern, Texas-inspired restaurant and beer garden located in the AT&T Discovery District has launched a new lunch and dinner menu featuring fresh takes on Texas cuisine including snacks, salads, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts. 

A few JAXON staples such as the JAXON Cheeseburger and the Luscher’s Red Hot Corn Dog have remained on the menu but guests can expect to see a mostly new menu with items sure to be new favorites. The drink menu has also been refreshed with a robust selection of cocktails with plenty of frozen options for the warmer weather.

These new items continue to carry the Texas-inspired theme throughout the menu with seasonal appropriate new flavors.” 

Menu highlights include starters such as the Black-Eyed Pea Hummus – marinated feta, pickled sweet peppers, tostada, veggies; Grilled Chicken Nachos – cheddar, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, pico; and TX Fritto Misto – peppers, pickles, onions, baby shrimp, remoulade, lemon. Refreshing salads include the JAXON Chopped – iceberg, tomato, bacon bits, egg, cucumber, croutons, spiced pepitas, pickled carrots, homemade ranch; The City Slicker – kale, broccoli, arugula, brown rice, avocado, herbs, lemon dressing; TX Harvest Salad – shaved apple, mint, TX goat cheese, spiced pecan, burnt honey vinaigrette. 

Entrée standouts include the Jalapeño Sausage Roll – caramelized onions, bbq sauce, smoked cheddar, onion strings, pickled jalapeño; Vegetarian Cauliflower Po’Boy – blackened cauliflower, iceberg, tomato, crunchy dills, remoulade, chow-chow; Bowl o’ Red – TX beef chili, cheese, fritos, chopped onion, sour cream, cornbread, whipped butter; Grilled Butcher Steak – green chile cheese grits, charred scallion, steak sauce; and the BBQ Platter – full rack ribs, jalapeño sausage, pickle, onion strings, ancho bbq sauce, grilled bread.

To round out the menu, two new desserts are featured: Blackberry Crumble topped with oat-brown sugar crumb and vanilla whip; and German Chocolate Sheet Cake topped with coconut pecan glaze, chocolate icing and ice cream.

Refreshing new cocktails feature frozen options such as the Frozen Blackberry Mule – vodka, blackberries, ginger, citrus; Juarez Day Dream – mezcal, strawberry, jalapeño, citrus, agave black sugar; Bless Your Heart – Bendt Texas Whiskey, blueberry, citrus, mint and sugar. Texas-inspired cocktails are available such as the Two Stepp’n in Dublin – Jameson orange, Texas orange cream soda, citrus; Texas Tonic – Blackland Texas gin, Fever Tree Elderflower tonic, dehydrated fruit, cloves, rosemary; Hibiscus Ricky – tequila, hibiscus infused aperol, citrus, Fever Tree sparkling grapefruit soda; JAXON’s Summer Beer – lemon vodka, citrus, wheat beer; and Tejas Chico – Tito’s vodka, best maid pickle juice, citrus, Topo Chico. 

The new menu is available now at JAXON Texas Kitchen & Beer Garden. JAXON is open Monday – Wednesday 11 a.m. – 12 a.m., Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. – 2 a.m., Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 2 a.m., and Sunday 10:30 a.m. – 12 a.m.
