Fresh seafood meets traditional Mexican flavors and techniques with the newest concept opening in Oak Cliff, La Pesca Seafood Market. From the owners of Dallas’ favorite, Yellow Rosa, Joel Roland and team are bringing an authentic Mexican seafood experience to the Oak Cliff neighborhood with a Grand Opening fiesta the weekend of Thursday, April 28th through Sunday, May 1st.
La Pesca, meaning “The Catch,” was inspired by a family-owned fish market in Teplzotlan, one of Mexico’s “Magic Cities.” The branding and restaurant design are inspired by the colors you would find roaming the streets of the Magic City, including vibrant walls, animated fish decor, and colorful furniture. When you step into the expansive space, you’ll spot a detailed fishermans mural illustrated by local artist, San Pascual, which will soon be the backdrop of a fresh seafood market. Guests will be able to browse the fresh seafood displayed over ice and choose from red snapper, mojarra, and catfish to either take home or add to their dining experience.
Influenced by different cities in Mexico like Sinaloa, Michoacan, and Veracruz, La Pesca’s menu will feature an array of seafood fare infused with authentic Mexican flavors. Enjoy traditional dishes such as Aguachiles, Caldo de Camarón, Tostadas de Pescado, and Ceviche delivered to your table via the BellaBot robotic server. Pair your meal with one of their 8 types of “Michelitros”, a liter of Michelada, beer on tap, wine, and margaritas, and enjoy inside or on their pet-friendly patio.
“This concept has sentimental value to our team, bringing childhood recipes and memories to life in the beautiful Oak Cliff neighborhood,” says Roland. “We look forward to welcoming guests in to enjoy our Michelitros and Mariscos in a casual, upbeat setting with live Mariachi on the weekends.”
The restaurant will be open for dinner Thursday through Sunday with lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
