For the last 25 years, prominent business leaders, notable philanthropists, established medical professionals and a multitude of distinguished supporters have attended Wish Night, the signature black tie gala benefiting Make-A-Wish North Texas, to celebrate and honor children with critical illnesses while raising funds for the organization.
This year’s Wish Night, presented by Helzberg Diamonds with honorary chairs Kelly and Marty Turco, will take place on April 30 from 6 – 11 p.m. at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. Pete Delkus, chief meteorologist of WFAA-TV, will be the emcee for the evening.
Wish Night features a sit-down, gourmet dinner, handcrafted cocktails, live music and dancing, uplifting wish stories and silent and live auctions. The event will celebrate the last 25 years of wishes while raising funds for more than 1,300 children with critical illnesses who are currently waiting for their wishes to be granted. This year’s fundraising goal is $1.5 million.
“Wishes bring hope, strength and joy into the lives of children with critical illnesses and their families as they face incredibly challenging medical journeys,” said Charlotte Beattie, interim CEO of Make-A-Wish North Texas. “We know wishes have the power to transform lives and uplift entire communities. Through Wish Night 2022, we will honor the last 25 years of wishes while joining our North Texas community to ensure that the next generation of wish kids are impacted by the power of this mission.”
Since its inception, Wish Night has helped grant more than 2,400 wishes for children battling critical illnesses. Tickets are available at wishnight.org.
