Dallas is hot. We know this. But not everyone in Dallas has the luxury of air conditioning, making summer unbearable and dangerous for the elderly and at-risk populations. That’s why the Lowest Greenville Collective is hosting its sixth annual event, dubbed Lowest G Cools Down Big D, to provide donations and much-needed funds for Dallas Adult Protection Services and the senior citizens in our community.
On Saturday, May 21, head to Lowest Greenville and look for the table outside Greenville Avenue Pizza Company. Bring a box fan, window unit or monetary donation to GAPCo between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and you’ll receive a wristband that gives you access to specials on the block. Those specials include:
GAPCo: $3 one-topping slice
Alamo Club: Free queso or boilermaker
HG Sply Co.: $6 cucumber smash cocktail
Leela’s Wine Bar: $5 house wines
Meyboom Brasserie: All Belgian beers are $6
Alexan Lower Greenville: $85 application fee waived
Truck Yard: frozen drink specials
Joy Macarons: free macaron w/ purchase of $5 ice cream sandwich
Swizzle: Lumpia’s Martiki special
Standard Service: $6 cocktail special
Son of a Butcher: seasonal shake special
Moon Taxi: discounts
Bullzerk: free beer while you shop
In addition to the above, anyone who donates at least $10 will be entered to win the Ultimate Prize Pack—a smorgasbord of gift cards and goodies from Lowest Greenville Collective businesses valued at more than $500.
It’s going to be a fun day. Enjoy everything the vibrant street has to offer, help people in need, and get rewarded in return. It’s a real win-win.
