SusieCakes, the immensely popular all-American, home-style bakery, will open its third location in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on Saturday, June 11 in East Dallas’ historic Hillside Village shopping center at 6441 E Mockingbird Ln, Suite 150, Dallas, TX 75214.
SusieCakes specializes in an array of sentimental, classic desserts made from scratch using fresh, simple ingredients by in-house bakers.
Just like her grandmothers Mildred and Madeline who inspired the brand, SusieCakes founder, Susan Sarich never uses any mixes, artificial preservatives, high-fructose corn syrups or trans-fats in the bakery’s recipes.
Sarich, who recently made Dallas her new home says, “I’ve been traveling to Dallas frequently since we opened our first Dallas bakery in Preston Center six years ago. I absolutely fell in love with the warm hospitality, culinary scene and strong sense of community here. I’m thrilled to not only call Dallas my home now but to open another SusieCakes location to offer our sweets to a new area of town!”
The bakery is best known for its classic Vanilla Celebration Cake, custom decorated cakes and its cupcakes, which are filled with delicious frosting, resulting in a moist, yummy cupcake bursting with flavor.
SusieCakes specialties include frosted layer cakes in familiar flavors such as Southern Red Velvet, Six Layer Chocolate and Tropical Coconut. Rotating seasonal offerings feature holiday-inspired treats and a selection of traditional cookies and bars including snickerdoodles, chocolate chip cookies, fudgy brownies, seven layer bars and Susie’s famous whoopie pies.
The first SusieCakes opened 16 years ago in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles and since then, the company has steadily expanded to include locations throughout California and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

SusieCakes Hillside Village location will be open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
A grand opening party will take place on Saturday, June 11 from 12 – 3 p.m. and will include children’s activities such as a balloon artist, face painter, and coloring contest. A raffle for a year of cakes, a grab bag, and many samples will also be offered.
