With experiences custom tailored to guests’ agave preferences, complimentary tequila tastings, traditional Paleta carts and a personalized featured cocktail, señores y señoritas are invited to celebrate the spirit of Sugar this National Tequila Day in Las Colinas or Plano on July 24.
Tequila lovers can explore Mexican Sugar’s robust collection of tequilas and mezcals with an experiential “blind date” with tequila. Guests are invited to curate a custom agave flight based on preferences of aroma, taste and finish. Tequila bottles will be hidden, so agaves cannot be judged by their label!
“We want people to get out of their comfort zone and find new, unique favorites they might not usually go for,” said Justin Beam, managing partner of Mexican Sugar Las Colinas. “We have over 120 tequilas and mezcals in our Agave Library, and the blind date experience gives our guests the opportunity to discover new labels with their palette as a guide.”
After checking out a new tequila or mezcal, guests can cool down with a refreshing tropical fruit popsicle from the Paleta Cart circulating the restaurant. Kids can enjoy as-is, and adults can use the Paleta to flavor up their favorite margarita!
At 4 p.m., tequila lovers will be delighted with complimentary agave samples including Sazarec, Código and Calirosa served in a show-stopping ice luge.
The Tequila Day fun can be documented with an instant print of a favorite photo directly on the foam of Mexican Sugar’s featured cocktail of the day, the Piña Envy. Made with blanco tequila, pineapple, lime, sugar and egg white foam, this personalized cocktail is as photo worthy as it is delicious!
