It’s almost that time of year and Dallas BBQ hotspot Ferris Wheelers is bringing the most lovable parts of the Texas State Fair experience to their iconic backyard with carnival-inspired décor and games. Starting on September 22nd, the State Ferris of Wheelers Themed Pop-Up will offer Texas State Fair staples every Thursday through Sunday until October 23rd.
Since 1886, the Texas State Fair has become an annual Texan tradition. State Ferris of Wheelers Themed Pop-Up offers a twist on this classic American activity, with their rustic backyard, adorned by a Ferris wheel of its own along with rows of picnic tables to create the perfect patio. And of course, a fair-themed event isn’t complete without iconic fair food and themed cocktails. Various local food vendors will be popping up throughout the month-long event and will be serving up the biggest fair food hits, in addition to Ferris Wheelers’ signature fair foods like Funnel Cakes, Turkey Legs, Corn Dogs, and more! On top of these yummy classic fair offerings, there will of course be Ferris Wheelers’ delicious backyard BBQ staples that pair perfectly with a variety of draft beers.
Complete your State Fair experience by challenging friends to classic Midway games such as Balloon Darts, Ring Toss, Fishbowls and Milk Bottle Knockdown, with stuffed animal prizes up for the taking. There will also be fun photo moments that will provide the perfect selfie for any Instagram feed.
“There are very few things more adored by Texans than the State Fair,” said Shane Snow, Head Pit Master at Ferris Wheelers. “While there is a long list of notable fair features, the food ranks at the top for most. We want to showcase our delicious take on classic fair favorites, right in the beloved Ferris Wheelers backyard.”
In addition to the craveable classic fair food and drinks, State Ferris of Wheelers will also feature live music from local artists that Dallasites won’t want to miss. Each week will feature new artists such as Super Kilo, Stevie J. Rose, Travelin’ Jed, and more so each weekend guests can return for entertainment they haven’t seen before. And of course, it wouldn’t be the fair without a photo op! Expect plenty of eye-catching moments throughout the space, starting with the unmissable and iconic backyard Ferris Wheel.
If Thursday through Sunday isn’t enough time to satisfy your Ferris Wheelers cravings, pay a visit to the Ferris Wheelers BBQ tent at the State Fair of Texas, located on the Midway! The booth will be open every day of the fair and will serve Ferris Wheelers fair classics like Brisket Waffle Fry Nachos, Pork Belly Burnt Ends on a Stick, Funnel Cake Fries, BBQ Pickles, and several more delicious menu items.
