The White Rock Lake Foundation (WRLF) announced a sparking sponsor line up for their upcoming fundraiser, The Jewel of Dallas Gala. A 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, the WRLF is instrumental in presenting the case for the maintenance and improvement of White Rock Lake, also referred to as “The Jewel of Dallas.” The fundraiser is set to take place on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at The Granada Theater on Greenville Avenue, from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The Board of Directors and Presenting Sponsor, Oncor Electric, invite Dallasites to join them for an unforgettable evening full of celebration, fundraising, and entertainment.
The White Rock Lake Foundation Board would like to extend a special thank you to their event sponsors for their overwhelming support. Each contribution allows the foundation to continue its mission of highlighting, supporting, and preserving the community they love. Proceeds from the event will go towards maintaining and preserving White Rock Lake, with a focus on renovating historic Winfrey Point, alongside the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, The DPARD Board, and the City of Dallas. Projects include (but are not limited to): the restoration and beautification of entrances to the lake, adding new hiking and bike trails, improving playgrounds and parks, wildlife protection, and many others.
