Eric Spigner Now at Hawthorn as Exec Chef

Hawthorn is proud to announce that Chef Eric Spigner is now the Executive Chef of Hawthorn, Route 62’s concept that occupies the lobby floor of ATT’s headquarters building in the Discovery District.

Chef Spigner has a stellar resume that includes stints at the Greenbrier Country Club as well as Pizzaiolo. Spigner also garnered accolades and praise for his work at Nova in Dallas, where he took the Dallas gastropub to new heights as his creativity and superior execution caught the attention of food critics and patrons alike. In 2021, Spigner showcased his skill and originality when he was victorious on the popular Food Network Show “Chopped.”

Route 62 founder Richard Ellman spoke about the decision to bring on Eric Spigner and stated, “Eric is incredibly talented. The Dallas restaurant market is highly competitive and at the same time there are very few restaurants that take risks and push the envelope in terms of innovation and creativity. We feel that Eric is the perfect person to highlight not only that there are fantastic restaurants downtown but also that there are Dallas restaurateurs and chefs that are still committed to highlighting Dallas as a progressive food city.”

Hawthorn is open for dinner Thursday to Saturday.
