Tesar Goes Underground

by Steven Doyle

Chef John Tesar is getting back in the saddle as he makes preparations to open his latest restaurant concept, Spoons. You can now get your Tesar fix by attending one of his underground dinners that will be held at an unspecified location in Dallas, April 7, 2012. The dinner can be reserved on Eventbright and 40 seats have been made available.

The underground dinner will feature selections from “land and sea” but no specific menu has been revealed. The cost of the BYOB dinner is $99 per person.

Speaking with Tesar recently the chef made mention that he has another location in mind for his Spoons concept, but is holding back on official announcements until a formal lease has been signed.

by Steven Doyle

For the next few days we will be running short holiday vignettes that include some of our favorite food people, not all necessarily chefs. Yesterday we sent out a list of questions with a holiday bent, some silly, some more serious, and asked the group to pick just a few to answer. The answers so far have been fun, and we are happy to share these with you.    Continue reading
