Flower Mound to welcome new dining district – with the first restaurants opening this quarter

Diners in Denton County should be very optimistic about the 2021 dining scene in Flower Mound. The River Walk at Central Park, a 158-acre mixed-use development located between FM2499 and Morriss Road north of FM1171, will be home to 21,000 square feet of restaurant space with openings planned to begin in March 2021.

Chamberlain’s Brau Haus Is The Place To Be For Addison Oktoberfest

For guests who visit Munich’s famed Oktoberfest, the ticket to have is in the VIP balconies of the 16 bier tents at the festival.  At Addison Oktoberfest, the most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in North America, the Paulaner Partyhalle tent has a similar opportunity.  Noted chef and restaurateur Richard Chamberlain will host Chamberlain’s Brau Haus, a full-service restaurant overlooking the Addison Oktoberfest dance floor.

PL8 Is An Interesting Blend Of Art And Food

A visit to the old Fat Rabbit location, now home to a very upgraded and very stylized adult restaurant PL8 that seems to wish to break the pub feel of Uptown that appears to be adulting more and more with each new concept that moves in. PL8 is a dizzying malange of menu items that may have you questioning the direction of the restaurant until you learn that the imported chef Long has worked across the globe and is adept at cuisines such as Malaysian, Indian, Mediterranean and much more. This reflects on the menu and once tasted you will get it.

The atmosphere is grown up and we were told that they are no longer open late nights, so this fits in with the very bright look of the white wood floors and emphasis on local art, which all is for sale. Think of Pl8 as a galleria with a cool menu.   Continue reading

New Years Eve is definitely the spark that lights the path for the upcoming year and 2018 will definitely be one for the record book. Look for bright food trends and amazing new restaurants that will be serving more plant-based proteins, bold ethnic flavors and street food, greater emphasis on both children’s meals (definitely untapped in Dallas) and breakfast, under-utilized meats and vegetables, offal and of course the burger will take an even stronger hold on the city.
