Bombay Street Food Truck Brings A Dosa Of Good Tidings And Great Joy

One of favorite food trucks in Dallas is the Bombay Street Food and we havr a bizarre obsession with its menu. The truck serves 100% vegan dosas and other interesting Indian offerings.

A dosa is a versatile Southern Indian street food that is prepared with a crispy crepe-like shell made of rice and lentils, and filled with ingredients that can be served with varying spice levels. This makes for an interesting and practical offering for a food truck, and one that fills a niche the Dallas area desperately needed.   Continue reading →

Dosas And Toys This Weekend In Deep Ellum

Last night the Dosa food truck made its debut at the Sprouts on Henderson. I tried the Paper Masala that was filled with potato,  and it was the best thing I put in my mouth in a very long time. The very large portioned crepe is crispy and wafer thin, much thinner than the other dosas found on the menu.

The plate comes with a cup of dal soup, or sambar, and also two chutneys. One of the chutneys is a bit spicy, the other is cooler with a hint of coconut. This dosa and its sides are 100% vegan and 100% tasty.   Continue reading →

Dosa Truck Hitting Dallas Streets This Week (It’s Vegan And Very Delicious)

There’s a new food truck in town and it is owned by the people who brought the first Indo-Chinese food truck to the DFW area, Bombay Street Food, and we have an exclusive first look at the menu. The truck will be serving 100% vegan dosas and is hitting the streets starting Thursday evening at the Sprouts on Henderson near Ross Ave. You may also find the truck Friday at the Toys for Tots food truck rally in Deep Ellum which you can find at Gaston and Elm streets.
