Statler’s Waterproof becomes “Winterproof” beginning Wednesday, Dec. 1

Waterproof, the rooftop lounge at the iconic Statler, offers expansive, breathtaking views of downtown Dallas. But when the temperatures drop, you just might be able to see that breath. That’s why the lounge is offering a sky-high escape where guests can stay nice and cozy this winter. For the third year in a row, Waterproof is offering a Winterproof Wonderland with the chance to celebrate in “Snow Clouds” for your party of two to eight to celebrate the season in style. The Winterproof celebration begins this year on Dec. 1, when guests can first experience this ski lodge themed magic.

Rooftop Life-Sized Snow Globes and Bubbles To Celebrate the Season

Waterproof, the rooftop lounge at the iconic Statler, offers expansive, breathtaking views of downtown Dallas. But when the temperatures drop, you just might be able to see that breath. That’s why the lounge is offering a way for you to stay nice and cozy this winter. For the second year in a row, Waterproof is offering life-size Snow Globes for your party of 2 to 8 to bundle in and stay warm – and socially distanced from others. 

The Snow Globes – which must be reserved in advance – come in two sizes: One is large enough for a lively party of 8, while three are just right for two to four people to comfortably enjoy an evening.  The large Globe requires a food and beverage minimum of $600 for two hours, and the smaller globes have a minimum of $200 for two hours.

It’s the most wonderful time of year, and The Statler’s rooftop bar trades in daypools for igloos with the launch of  #WINTERPROOF at Waterproof!
 
Starting Friday, December 6, Waterproofs iconic rooftop will transform into a winter wonderland complete with exclusive igloos available for private reservation & bottle service, pop-up weekend entertainment including DJ Michael Jerome, a custom mural by local artist Jerod Dtox Davies and holiday movie showings.

With pool/lounge season officially open, Waterproof at The Statler rolls out a new cocktail, wine and beer menu. The new offerings – including a Skyline Margarita and Rooftop Mule – are sure to keep guests refreshed and satisfied as they enjoy the warmer weather & stunning views atop The Statler’s rooftop pool lounge & bar.
A few of the new cocktails include —
  • Skyline Margarita: Lunazul Blanco, Patron Citronge, Pineapple, Jalapeño, Lime, Agave ($11)
  • Statler Fashioned: Makers Mark Bourdon, Angostura, Orange Oils ($12)
  • Rooftop Mule: Sobieski Vodka, Raspberries, Lime, Ginger Beer ($13)
  • Llinda Llee Mojito: Bacardi Lime, Blackberries, Lime, Mint, Soda ($10)
  • South Bound 75: Aviaton Gin, St. Germain, Lemon, Lamarca ($11)
  • Skyline Spritz: Aperol, Soda, Bubbles, Citrus ($10)
  • Downtown Chill *Frozen*: Espolon Tequila, Passionfruit, Lime, Sangria, Grand Marnier Float ($12)
Additionally, Waterproof has added some beer & wine offerings to its menu
