Six Dallas Lunches That Still Won’t Empty Your Wallet.

Goff’s

A good lunch in Dallas doesn’t have to come with a valet stand or a wine list. Some of the best midday meals in town still come off a charcoal grill, a flat-top or a smoker that’s been running for decades, and you can walk out full without wincing at the check.

These are the places we keep going back to when we want a real lunch at a fair price. They’re not new, and none of them are trying to be. That’s a big part of why they’re still here.

How to Do the State Fair of Texas the Old-Fashioned Way: Bring Your Own

There’s a reason people have been hauling their own food through the gates of the State Fair of Texas for as long as the gates have existed. The fair food is part of the deal — the corny dogs, the fried everything, the Big Tex Choice Award winners you’re going to stand in line for no matter what. Tonight several craveDFW staffers will be at Del Frisco Double Eagle for a wine dinner. We love somm Jennifer Jaco and never bypass a moment where we can visit with her even for a few minutes.
