Palapas Seafood Bar to Open in Old Town Lewisville

Shortly after the recent closure of Baja Rita’s, a Tex-Mex restaurant in Old Town Lewisville, a seafood bar has announced plans to open in that space.

Baja Rita’s announced on Oct. 10 that it was closing the restaurant, 253 West Church St., immediately. In a lengthy statement, the restaurant did not provide a reason for the closure but expressed gratitude to the community and customers who visited the eatery for a meal.

Palapas Seafood Bar Opening On Greenville Ave

More restaurant activity going on Greenville Avenue. This time it is south of Ross Avenue and brought to us by furniture store operator, Tim Goza and will be cheffed up by Luis Medina. You might remember Medina from Komali. The name of the new restaurant that will soon open at 1418 Greenville Avenue near Bryan Street is called Palapas Seafood Bar. A palapa is a grass or tiki-style hut with open sides and a thatched roof.  Continue reading
