CrushCraft Thai Street Eats Delivers Flavor

DSC00997by Steven Doyle

Chef Paul Singhapong is well known in Dallas for his time at Crescent Court Hotel’s Beau-Nash or perhaps more recently at Cru Wine Bar as opening executive chef. For craveDFW readers you might recall a handful of evenings where he delighted the city with a special Thai menu at Malai Kitchen in the West Village. Singhapong’s resume is rock solid and includes stints at the French Room, the Melrose Hotel and the Mansion on Turtle Creek working with the very best Dallas has to offer.  When we spoke to Sinhapong last year he indicated he was retired, but indeed he now is enjoying his new restaurant CrushCraft Thai Street Eats, which opened for business just a few short months ago.   Continue reading

Chef Paul Singhapong To Open CrushCraft In Quadrangle

malai2by Steven Doyle

I remember Paul Singhapong from Beau Nash at the Crescent Court Hotel in Uptown. The renowned chef also worked alongside Kent Rathbun at the Melrose, Dean Fearing at the Mansion and an illustrious stint at the French Room where he enjoyed a five star rating. Today we are sent word that the Thai chef will be opening a restaurant in the Quadrangle along with restaurateur Jack Nuchkasem, and it will be called CrushCraft. We will make this easy by publishing the release below. Dallas i getting all Thai happy, right? Continue reading

I haven’t seen the menu yet, but it has been described as “approachable Mediterranean menu that represents Spain, Morocco, France and Italy, yet anchored in classic French techniques”.

Chef/Owner Laurent Poupart will open JoJo next Monday, November 19th . By then we should have a proper First ook for you to see the food and new digs.

In a press release sent out today Poupart says that JoJo is a dream come true and that when he arrived in Dallas nearly four years ago he knew this was the city for him.        Continue reading

BBC Close To Opening And We Snagged A Menu

by Steven Doyle

Located next to the Quadrangle on Routh Street in Uptown Dallas, the BBC, or British Beverage Company, will swing its doors open wide to the public October 29, 2012. October will prove to be a busy month for restaurant openings, and we are eager to grab one of the first pints to pour from this pub.

Sporting 50 taps along with 100 bottles of beer, the BC should prove to be a welcome addition to the pub landscape in North Texas. There is also promise of a kicked up cocktail program and a selection of 45 wines and bubbles. Continue reading
