Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith plans to open Emmitt’s this spring, and reps finally have confirmed reports that it’ll be at the Fashion Show mall. The 30,000-square-foot establishment in the space formerly occupied by the Sugar Factory will offer fine dining on the first level (no word yet on menu particulars) and a second-floor space that will morph from a sports bar during the day to an ultralounge in the evenings.
Get ready for brunch and wild performances by top female impersonators at Commons Clubwith their new over-the-top drag brunch series ‘The Last Virgin Drag Brunch.’ Hostess sensation and Dallas diva Jenni P brings the sass and a variety of special guests, including legendary queens Layla Larue, Kenya Blue and Nicole Ohara Monroe. The glitter-adorned affair has pancakes and performances colliding with spot-on lip-syncing and sky-high heels.
In response to the growing amount of restaurant and hospitality workers unemployed due to COVID-19, FestEvents Foundation, in collaboration with Chef Nick Walker of Virgin Hotels Dallas, Chef Sharon Van Meter of SVM Productions, and Steve DeShazo of El Centro College, is launching Staff Meal (www.staffmeal.org).
