Serious Pizza Opening in Deep Ellum

By Steven Doyle

We have been trying to reach the owners of Serious Pizza  for a few days with little success but we shall remain ever vigilant. For now Crave can positively say that another pizza option is about to hit Deep Ellum.  We probably would have waited to announce this, but to be honest we wanted to share this photo.  When did Tracy Morgan start working for the Dallas Police?  I think we need Tina Fey as a meter maid so we can at least smile when we get one of our many parking tickets.

You will find the new pizza joint opening soon in the old Loose Change spot at 2807 Elm, and across from Elm Street Bar.  Let’s hope its a good late night option.

Edit: Just received a call from Mike Turley who is the owner.  Turley says the pizza with be 30″ over-the-top hand-tossed thin crust New York style pizza and sold by the slice, so expect one of those old school pizza shows.  Serious Pizza will be open until 3AM. He is waiting on his final inspection, so the opening could be a week away. Welcome to the neighborhood.
