Standard Pour to Open on McKinney

by Steven Doyle

The Standard Pour will be moving into the location formerly housing Lotus at 2900 McKinney Avenue, and operated by the same folks behind Sfuzzi, La Reve Consultants. The bar will feature 30 or 40 classic and pre-Prohibition cocktails under the guidance of former Smoke and RedFork bartender, Brian McCullough.

The new cocktail lounge will add an element missing in the Uptown area which until now has focused on pubs and restaurants.

“We will be doing a lot of pre-Prohibition cocktails, moving towards modern and progressive cocktails of my own design using a lot of house infusions and reinvent fun play on standard cocktails.,” said McCullough.

Look for this new cocktail lounge early 2012.

  1. What about the cease and desist letters that Standard & Pours coffee house at Southside Lofts @ Lamar used to get? They ended up changing their name because of it, I believe.

  4. Is there a web site for the Standard Pour? I went to a place in Fort Worth called The Usual. I loved, loved, loved the atmosphere. I don’t drink alcohol, but they made me a really tasty virgin Moscow Mule. Anyway, I can’t wait to see what this place is about. Please keep us informed!
