Mark May 28 on your calendar because Chef Tiffany Derry, of Top Chef fame, has been invited to serve as guest chef for May’s Sunday Supper at Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse.
On Sunday, May 28, Chef Derry will serve up a family-style feast, starting with a delicious selection including her Con’bread, Fried Green Tomato with Shrimp Ravigote, Buttermilk Fried Chicken Wings, Chef Derry’s Mother’s Gumbo, and Grilled Watermelon Salad.
The Soulful Sunday Supper will continue with an array of entrées and sides, including Braised Oxtails, Grilled Redfish, Creamed Corn with Crawfish, Top Chef Famous Okra, Sweet Potatoes, and Steamed Rice.
And be sure to save room for a tasty trio of desserts of Banana Pudding, Peaches and Crème, and Old School Cocoa Cake
Of course, several exquisite wine pairings will be featured throughout the meal.
“These are all recipes from my mom and grandma’s kitchen,” said Chef Derry. “I am delighted to share my family table at one of my very favorite restaurants, Nick & Sam’s, and I’m honored that Chef Samir invited me to work his kitchen for this Sunday Supper. I think our guests will find that this type of cuisine is more than eating; it’s an experience!”
