J Blacks Art Show

Next Wednesday May 4th you can come to J.Black’s Feel Good Lounge  for it’s latest art show featuring some of Dallas’ best graffiti and tattoo artists offering up some of their work for sale on canvas and other unique surfaces. MinusWon, Skilz and Rudy IV supply the art and music will be provided by DJ’s Bryan C, Nemesis and Big J. There will be some quite unique pieces that will certainly grab some some attention in your home or business so be sure to get there early before they sell. Door open at 9pm and there is no cover charge.

Iron Fork Wrap Up

When we think of FIG, we usually think more of a fruit and less on the Fashion Institute Gallery, and on this last Wednesday, it seemed a bit more fitting as the Dallas Observer, in conjunction with Whole Foods, Fuze, Avion tequila and many other local establishments, created an event centered around food and wine. The highlight of the evening was an “Iron Chef” style cook-off between Charlie Palmer at the Joule’s executive chef Scott Romano and Suze Restaurant’s Gilbert Garza. We purchased a VIP pass and got in early, a key element to being able to taste and drink everything. Continue reading →

Iron Fork Tonight

New Artist-in-Residency at Dallas Fairmont

Last week I walked into the downtown Dallas Fairmont Hotel wet from the rain with no pretension of knowing anything about what I was getting into or who exactly I would end up meeting. Upon entering the T & P building in Ft. Worth, there was little doubt what people were here to do. It was time to taste beer.
