Concert Series Announced

by Bryan Coonrod

It’s time again for thousands to head to the shores in Rockwall at The Harbor for its annual and free summer concert series by the lake. The first concert is May 5th Cinco De Mayo with Elvis impersonator David Allen. There will be something for everyone each Thursday night from country, rock, disco, funk, soul, cajun and party bands and it’s all family friendly.

Make sure you get there early to assure a seat on the lawn, as you are allowed to bring chairs and coolers. It is quite a spectacle to see so many people enjoying the sunset and live music in a small town and there are some great food options too.

You can bring snacks or choose to eat at The Harbor at Dodie’s, Gloria’s, Agave, Red Robin, The Hilton, Paradise Burgers, Luna De Noche and Potrillo De La Sandia. Some of these restaurants will offer food outside of the restaurants and deliver to you on the lawn. If you don’t want to fight the huge crowd waiting to order food you may want to check out our friends and eat before or after at AVA and Zanata in downtown Rockwall just a few minutes away from The Harbor.

The concert series will go through August 18th. The Harbor is located right off of I 30 just exit Horizon Drive and start looking for a parking space. Below are the bands scheduled to play.
