One of Dallas’ most prolific chefs, John Tesar, will be appearing at the Granada Theater this Saturday performing a cooking class that includes a marvelous spread prepared by the Top Chef.
Tesar has been busy appearing on not one but two seasons of Top Chef and numerous other cooking programs, is owner of Knife one pretty fantastic steakhouse in Dallas, soon to open in San Francisco and in Plano. On Saturday, August 19th she will be teaching a cooking class highlighting some of her favorite dishes at the beautiful new The Brixton at the Shops at Legacy in Plano. From 12p-3p.
Tiffany will teach everyone in attendance her dishes and fielding questions from the audience. While you enjoy the food she is preparing everyone will also enjoy a trio of signature cocktails created by her friends at Western Son Vodka and Red River Whiskey during the class. Last evening pitmaster Doug Pickering invited a group of guests into his Highland Park home for his very first bbq class. You recall Pickering from his stint at WORK. He appeared to be an overnight sensation, but has worked years at his craft perfecting his delicious take on ‘cue. Last evening Doug was joined by his long time friend and chef Scott Townend, formerly at Village Kitchen, but has a glorious resume working with some of the best chefs this country has to offer. What a delight to work hands on with these two talents. (Local Urban Craft Kitchen), a craft beer inspired kitchen & bar, that is soon to open in Dallas’ Trinity Groves. The chefs from L.U.C.K. will share with you a selection of items to be included on the their craft beer inspired menu while the brew masters from Fort Worth brewery Martin House will be on hand to expertly pair their beers with the evening’s menu.
