Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs Achieves Important Victory in Trademark Dispute

Fletcher’s Original State Fair Corny Dogs, LLC is pleased to announce it has achieved an important victory in a trademark dispute with a company that is seeking to unfairly capitalize on the reputation of the famous Fletcher’s brand.

Neil and Carl Fletcher, invented corn dogs in Dallas, Texas, in 1938 and introduced them at the 1942 State Fair of Texas. Over the past 77 years, millions of people have enjoyed Fletcher’s brand corn dogs, and the Fletcher’s name has become world-famous, symbolizing our delicious meal on a stick. Today, Fletcher’s brand corn dogs can be enjoyed at the great State Fair of Texas, as well as fairs, festivals, and events both public and private throughout Texas and the southwest. Fletcher’s is an iconic brand to the many fans who travel to the Texas State Fair to relive childhood memories as they enjoy one of our Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs and introduce their own children to this longstanding Texas tradition. Local Yocal Brings the Taste of The State Fair Home

Local Yocal BBQ & Grill is bringing the taste of the State Fair to McKinney with made-from-scratch gourmet corn dogs created by Chef Adam West. Everything is bigger in Texas, and these fair-inspired corn dogs are made with a half-pound of house-made sausage from Local Yocal Farm to Market, then dipped in a scratch beer batter to provide the perfect crunch. Local Yocal’s limited edition corn dogs will be served with a choice of a side for $12 and will be available for lunch and dinner through the run of the State Fair of Texas, September 27 through October 20.

Brass Knuckle Corn Dog Beat Down At Libertine

There were many celebrations in the past few days as we observed Independence Day around the DFW area. One of our favorite traditions for the past few years has been the corn dog ballyhoo at the Libertine Bar on lowest Greenville Avenue in Dallas. The celebration has since been renamed the Brass Knuckle Corn Dog Beat Down and offers a trophy and $100 for anyone that can stuff the most corn dogs down their gullet in a short 15 minute time frame.              Continue reading
