Catch The Film “Hey Bartender” Monday, Nov 25

This Monday there will be a special screening of Hey Bartender at the Village Theater at 32 Highland Park Village at 7pm. The film is about a bartender in the era of craft cocktail. After the film meet Jason Kosmas, co-owner of one of the bars featured in the film, Employees Only in New York. Kosmas will speak abut the film and host a Q&A session.  You will also hear from the film’s director, Douglas Tirola and William Grant Portfolio Ambassador, Charlotte Voisey. The evening will finish up with an after party next door at the Village Bar.

Kosmas Demos His Employees Only Mixes At Sigels This Weekend

In Dallas we think of Jason Kosmas as super laid back barman with the killer mustache. In reality he is laid back and unassuming, but he is also building his brand of liquor, writing cocktail books, and co-owner of what has been labeled as the best bar in the world, Employees Only. He even has a television program he pitched a network in Los Angeles last week where he plays host in a quasi-version of Chopped. Today Kosmas called to let me know that he will be at Sigel’s Fine Wines & Great Spirits on Greenville Avenue tomorrow selling the Employees Only own line of mixers.   Continue reading

Jason Kosmas’ Vodka And Rum Now Available In Dallas Area

Jason Kosmas might possibly be the busiest man in the bar business. He still has a stake in Employees Only in New York, which has been named the best bar in the world; he is also the executive beverage director at Village Marquee in Highland Park Village and occasionally lends himself out to consult on drink menus. Now the talented barman is introducing his own line of spirits and they hit the shelves local Sigel’s liquor stores this week. We caught up with Kosmas last evening to sample some of his new rum and vodka.             Continue reading
