There are food festivals and then there are weekends you actually plan your calendar around. SAVOR, the four-day culinary event at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, is making a case for the second category. It runs April 30 through May 3 out at the resort on PGA Parkway in Frisco, and the 2026 edition is bigger than last year’s debut in almost every way.

The Dallas College food and wine fundraising event, Bits & Bites, will be held at the Dallas Arboretum’s A Tasteful Place on Sunday, April 16, 6-8 p.m. The annual foodie tradition pairs around 30 of the best local chefs with Dallas College students to serve 18,000 plates of food. The food festival provides training opportunities for Dallas College students and supports sustainable culinary and hospitality programs with enhanced learning and labs.

A celebration of food, music, and fun, Taste Addison (May 19 – 21) dishes out the best food and flavor with a healthy side of jam. This year, guests will enjoy an array of activities, many of which are included with their admission ticket, such as the Wine Garden, Craft Beer Hall, cooking demos from Addison chefs and the Family Fun Lawn, featuring games, inflatables and face painting, in addition to all the live entertainment you can pack into three days.

What a long strange trip its been. Not many years ago Iris Midler and Matt McCallister started their five-star festival that is centered on the the Dallas dining scene with a long table event held out in a field of a local farm just outside the Dallas city limits on the farm of Marie Tedei, Eden’s Organic Farm. This is the event that event they called Chefs for Farmers. From there this grew into a festival of fun of fantastic proportions that will culminate this October 25th at Lee Park where 1000’s of revelers will enjoy a plethora of chef stations paired with fine wines and spirits. We hear that this year there will even be a special biscuit station as well as an oyster lounge. All this to benefit our local farming community, raising an expected $25,000 for charity.
