When Kenny Bowers was preparing to open Kenny’s Italian Kitchen in 2010 in Addison’s Village on the Parkway, his mission was clear: to create the perfect, tender meatballs. Night after night, he dedicated himself to perfecting a recipe that captured the true essence of the Italian-American experience, experimenting with just the right balance of meat, seasonings, and binder. The result of those late-night sessions was the birth of Kenny’s Midnight Meatballs—now an iconic dish at both Kenny’s Italian Kitchen and Kenny’s East Coast Pizza.

Chef Kenny Bowers to host first ever art show benefiting St. Jude.

While it is understood for chefs to be lauded for their creative acumen, in the case of chef Kenny Bowers, the title of artist is one he is striving for with countless hours of work in front of a canvas. Bowers plans to host an art show sharing his work with fans from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Kenny’s Italian Kitchen, located at 5100 Belt Line Road in Addison’s Village on the Parkway. 100% of sales at the event will be directly donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Kenny Bowers Will Give Free Appetizers to Toys for Tots Supporters

In order to assist Texans who need a little extra help this holiday season, all five Kenny’s restaurants will begin accepting donations for Toys for Tots this week.  Beginning today and continuing through December 8, all Kenny’s restaurants will provide a free appetizer to any guest bringing a new, unwrapped toy or gift for Toys for Tots. This promotion will occur in all of Kenny’s restaurants, including Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill and Kenny’s Italian Kitchen in Addison, Kenny’s East Coast Pizza in Plano, and Kenny’s Burger Joint in both Frisco and Plano.

Kenny’s Burger Joint Introduces the Brontosaurus Burger

Kenny Bowers may not be a dinosaur – but this month he plays one in the restaurant. Kenny’s Burger Joint locations in Frisco and Plano have a massive special launching tomorrow.

The Brontosaurus Burger features a half-pound burger – topped with two pork ribs, bacon, brisket, cheddar, onion, pickle and chipotle mayo. It’s definitely enough to make you rawr.

The specialty burger will be available for $16.99 through the end of the month.

Kenny Bowers Opens All His Restaurants

On March 19, Kenny Bowers sadly closed FIVE of his six restaurants, consolidating as much of his team as he could keep into Plano’s Kenny’s East Coast Pizza.

Bowers is thrilled to have a plan to reopen ALL SIX of his restaurants for to go and delivery service starting TODAY. I am so excited to share this nugget of good news which hopefully reflects our next steps in getting through this pandemic. Continue reading

Kenny’s Burger Joint Opens in Plano

Kenny Bowers announced today that he has opened his second Kenny’s Burger Joint in Plano. Bowers is a long time Dallas chef and restaurateur, first partnering in 1992 to open  Daddy Jack’s Lobster & Chowder House on Greenville Avenue. Bowers then went on to open  Lefty’s Lobster and Chowder House in 1996, and was partner in Rockfish Seafood Grill in 1999. Bowers since went on to open his upscale restaurant Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill in Addison, the Burger Joint, Kenny’s Italian Kitchen in Addison, Texas, and Kenny’s Smoke House in the Shops of Legacy.    Continue reading
