Five Dallas Restaurants Worth Booking During DFW Restaurant Week

Every August, Dallas hands you a reason to finally book the table you’ve been putting off. DFW Restaurant Week turns 30 this year, running from Preview Weekend on August 6 through the final stretch on September 7, and more than 150 restaurants across the Metroplex are offering prix fixe menus built specifically for the occasion. Two-course lunches run $29, three-course dinners land at $49 or $59, and a handful of restaurants are offering $99 Signature Experience dinners with an extra course thrown in. About 20 percent of what you spend goes to the North Texas Food Bank or, for restaurants in Tarrant County, Lena Pope.

DFW Restaurant Week Turns 30 This Year, and Reservations Are Already Open

DFW Restaurant Week has been running long enough to outlast most of the restaurants that participated in its first year, and this August it hits a real milestone: 30 years, making it the second-longest-running restaurant week campaign in the country. The main event runs August 10 through September 7, with a Preview Weekend August 6 through 9 for anyone who doesn’t want to wait for the official kickoff. Reservation Day landed July 16, which means the full list of participating restaurants, expected to run past 160 across Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, and Denton counties, is already public and booking is open now through DFWRestaurantWeek.com.

The wait is almost over! The 29th annual DFW Restaurant Week – North Texas’ largest annual culinary event – is set for this August with more than 140 local restaurants serving up delicious prix fixe meals for a deal benefiting the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and Lena Pope.  No longer just a week, diners can now enjoy a full month of exclusive dining opportunities from Aug. 4 – Aug. 31. The culinary countdown begins on Reservation Day, Thursday, July 10, when the list of participating restaurants is unveiled and reservations open for August dining.

Al Biernat’s Restaurant Week Info

The renowned neighborhood favorite restaurant in Dallas, Al Biernat’s,  is thrilled to participate in DFW Restaurant Week, joining numerous restaurants across the metroplex to support The North Texas Food Bank. From August 1 through September 1, Al Biernat’s will offer a range of special menus for lunch, dinner, and brunch, allowing guests to dine and have a positive impact on the community.

During DFW Restaurant Week, both the Al Biernat’s North and Oak Lawn locations will offer a two-course brunch menu for $29 per person, a two-course lunch menu for $29 per person, and a three-course dinner menu for $49 per person. For each meal purchased, 20% of the cost will be donated to The North Texas Food Bank, supporting the mission to fight hunger in the local DFW community.

2023 DFW Restaurant Week

Over the past 26 years, DFW Restaurant Week has raised nearly $12 million in donations for its charity partners, including $1 million in 2019 alone. North Texas’ largest culinary event and the nation’s second longest-running restaurant week campaign, DFW Restaurant Week officially kicks off August 7th.

Explore a variety of cuisines with premier restaurants across Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties through an expanded selection of a prix-fixe menu dining options – including lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and Signature Experience dinners. Approximately 20 percent of the cost of each meal will be donated to NTFB in the Dallas area or Lena Pope in the Tarrant area.
