Urban Taco, a modern Mexican restaurant by Del Sur Restaurant Group will officially open its new and larger location tomorrow Wednesday, October 18 within Mockingbird Station in suite 105.
The new spot (on the far northeast corner inside the complex and adjacent to the main theater entrance) allows for more interior space, an updated look and large patio. Continue reading

2017 has shown its share of disasters and Urban Taco in Uptown wishes to help out in a way they only could imagine: with tacos. Urban Taco will be selling their tacos for $4 on October 4th to celebrate National Taco Day. In conjunction with this promotion (for each taco sold) $2 of the proceeds will be donated to Fundacion Carlos Slim in Mexico, to assist in earthquake disaster relief.
Co-owner Markus Pineyro will be visiting a branch of the Fundacion
in Mexico, and will also be matching 5 pesos for every peso donated.

Urban Taco, a modern Mexican restaurant by Del Sur Restaurant Group with two locations in Dallas, is taking an opportunity to move into a larger space close to its current one in the Mockingbird Station mixed-use development.
After a successful 10-years, the current lease expires at the end of this month. The Mockingbird Station location will temporarily close Thursday, August 31 only to re-open in a new and larger space by mid-September (exact date TBD). Urban Taco loves to make tamales and as we previously reported they have a new version for the twelve days of Christmas.
This special menu of daily changing seasonal hand-made tamales is available December 13-24, 2012. Guests can order the daily selection during lunch or dinner as a tamale trio plate with black beans and roasted corn con crema for $9.75. In addition to enjoying the tamales at the restaurant, place an order for any variety of tamale to go with 24-hours’ notice, with a minimum order of one dozen for $24. Continue reading
