Back in September I reported that the Elbow Room had shuttered. Today I am told that the Elbow Room will re-open with new owners and most likely look and feel exactly the same. Many of the same bartenders and waitresses will join the team. In the past weeks I have run into a few of the alumni working at various bars across Dallas and they loved and miss the venue.
There has been a bit of vandalism to the space in recent weeks, so it will take a bit of time to clean that up, but a Certificate of Occupancy has already been issued. It looks like we will all have that terrific pizza once again, and that’s a good thing. Look for the Elbow Room to open mid January 2013.

Will Derrick be back?
I’ve talked to quite a few people from the old staff (Derrick at Dubliner..Bailey at Dallasite) spread out among a few bars around town I think they would only like to go back on a part time bases since they like where they are at. I hope they go back great bar that had a great staff it wouldn’t be the same without them
