Chamberlain Adds Private Humidor Smoking Room

by Amy Severson

Chef/owner Richard Chamberlain has recently completed renovations to the Cigar Bar at Chamberlain’s Steak and Chop House in Addison. A move to enhance the guest’s experience, it is also designed to help the business accommodate any state-wide restaurant smoking ban that might pass this session in the Texas House and Senate.

The addition of a private humidor smoking room (seats 8), wood paneled and with a large flat-screen TV, is accompanied by a new glass encased temperature-and-humidity-controlled cabinet which serves as an exterior wall. Filled with a selection of over 20 brands of cigars available for sale (individually or by the box) it’s encircled by 50 small Spanish cedar lined private lockers, also climate controlled, available for lease for $800 per year.

Future renovations include a remodeled rear entry which will lead directly to the Cigar Bar, and other changes, once more is known about requirements (if a state-wide law passes at all) that will be put on smoking establishments. Chef Chamberlain is committed to providing an elegant, delicious and comfortable setting for those wishing to enjoy a fine cigar with, or after, their dinner.
