Patz & Hall Library Wine Dinner
featuring
Donald Patz, proprietor
Avner Samuel, Chef-Owner
Monday, May 23rd 7pm
“One of the most impressive Burgundian-styled negociant operations in California, Patz & Hall continues to fine tune and improve what were already top-notch wines. For the past twenty years, Patz and Hall has been one of California’s finest negociant firms, accessing top quality fruit and vinifying and bottling their wines with minimal intervention. The following efforts represent the finest wines I have tasted from them in many years.” Robert Parker
The genesis for this special wine dinner was a recent visit to Patz & Hall where Donald Patz pulled a number of older, mature vintages from the winery archives to accompany dinner. At 10 years old, the incredible vibrancy and complexity that these wines displayed rivaled Grand and Premier Cru Burgundies from the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune. Celebrated Chef Avner Samuel has crafted an spectacular menu to highlight the diversity of vineyard sites produced by this benchmark producer, with the crowning glory an opportunity to taste the Hyde Chardonnay 1999 and Pisoni Pinot Noir 2000. Only 30 seats will be available for this special event and they will undoubtedly sell out quickly!
