Celebrate Earth Day With A Fun Run

by Jerry Stewart

Celebrate Mother Earth on her day, April 22, 2012.  Join the huddled masses as they enjoy the DFW Farm Truck 5k Fun Run at Fair Park with a 7:30am registration time and an 8:30am start.

Along the course of the run you will be met with a short list of obstacles including a Worm Challenge and later a Bee Challenge. The DFW Farm Truck will be on display as well.  This is the handy roving educational farm truck that makes its way across several North Texas Counties educating enthusiasts and students alike on the values of farming.

A swag bag will be available for participants to pick up at Luke’s Locker off of Mockingbird Lane, and will contain plenty of the sponsors gifts including a bib that has been laced with seeds and can be planted to grow your very own mystery farm.

The DFW Truck Farm is owned/operated as a non-profit program by Garden Inspirations, a garden education company. The DFW Truck Farm resides part-time in Waxahachie and part-time near the M Streets in Dallas.

Register online at their website.
