The annual Deep Ellum Art Walk and The Grind After Party kick off this weekend and will be featuring tons of art work, live music, and visual displays throughout the district. The Deep Ellum Art Walk is an event like no other in Dallas. Deep Ellum, an incubator of creativity, offers cutting edge art and soul for the passionate free spirit as well as for the discriminating art patron.
The 12th Semi-Annual Deep Ellum Art Walk is Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 6-10PM in Deep Ellum and Exposition Park. The galleries of Deep Ellum and Expo Park will open their doors to the public for art viewing, shopping, music, food and drink. The event is free and most people can easily walk from gallery to gallery. The DART Green Line is available to take patrons from the Deep Ellum and Baylor stations to the Fair Park station in the Expo Park area.
The galleries feature paintings, photography, sculpture, experiential and performance art in styles ranging from classic to modern. The walk will start at the Kettle Art Gallery and make it’s way thru 29 Pieces, Factory Girl, The Ravach Arts Company, 500x Gallery, 826 Arnetic, and the Chi Gallery just to name a few. The official map with all the galleries listed is available here.
